our story.
The Dining Dome concept was born from a European love story. While honeymooning in Europe, the founders Tim and Elaine saw clear domes being used by ski resorts, restaurants and cafes in Switzerland, Scandinavia and England. They seemed cozy, safe and fun places to enjoy a meal with friends during the cold, wet and windy European winters. The idea simmered in the background for a number of years until 2020. When the pandemic hit, Tim and Elaine saw how the Dining Domes could help venues survive the restrictions. In the winter of 2021 Dining Domes were launched. The interest in them was overwhelming. In 2022 Dining Domes were used for Sydney’s VIVID. Now domes sit in many iconic places in Australia, including The Rocks, Reconciliation Place, and the Blue Mountains. We hope in a small way these domes will help people continue their own love stories - be they relational, or with the business they’ve started.
